Wendy Mastripolito is a Master's athlete. Inspired by a 5K flyer in the mail in the fall of 2006 that finally led her to the completion of her first 140.6 Mile "Ironman" Distance Triathlon in the Fall of 2008, the Chesapeake Man Ultra Distance Triathlon.

At age 40, and as a reformed smoker she picked up running after a 20+ year hiatus and learned to swim and bike competitively.

Along with working full time and raising a family she has completed various events and races including a 50K ultra run, eight marathons, and countless running, biking, snowshoe and triathlon events and races.

In addition, she currently throws the Javelin for the Philadelphia Masters Track & Field Organization and loves to Middle Eastern Dance, Orienteer, and Mountain Bike.

Her future goals are to qualify for the Boston Marathon and the Ironman Hawaii Triathlon.
